We were in a tight situation. On the verge of launching the world’s largest and most anticipated medical device to date to a multi billion dollar market. At the last minute, we discovered our primary supplier was unable to deliver on a very close tolerance 3D wire form.
We desperately looked for another source. Imperial was the only one that said “We can do that”. They were able to get us quick prototypes (over the week end) so we could test out our system for FDA approval AND they were able to make all the tooling and be into production in 3 weeks.
We initially thought they would be a back-up supplier once our primary supplier was on board. Instead, Imperial Wire became our primary supplier for 5 years and 2.2 million parts.
